Jamshedpur FC win

Hyderabad FC suffered their 2nd loss in the last 3 games as they went down 2-3 against Jamshedpur FC. Despite Bartholomew Ogbeche’s brilliance with the ball, Hyderabad FC couldn’t get this game past the Red Miners.

In the 12th minute of the game, Borja Herrera took a set-piece corner for the Nizams. His perfect corner kick found Bartholomew Ogbeche near the goal and the goal-scoring machine of Hyderabad FC headed the ball to the back of the net with perfection and style.

Jamshedpur FC equalized quite soon as Ritwik Das’s tap-in header into the far post made sure they get a goal. Boris Singh Thangjam’s inch-perfect cross reached Das inside the box and Singh got the assist under his belt.

Jay Emmanuel-Thomas scored through a penalty in the 27th minute and the Men of Steel were in the lead for the first time in the game.

Shortly post that, Jamshedpur FC scored their 3rd goal of the evening. Daniel Chima Chukwu received an aerial pass and his silky-skills made sure he dodges past a Hyderabad FC defender. Even though there was a defender to the left of him and the goalkeeper was charging at him, Chima managed to chip in the ball for a goal.

Hyderabad FC had their backs against the walls in the half-time as they were trailing 1-3. They needed to stage a strong comeback and take the momentum to their final game of the Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 league stage and then the playoffs.

10 minutes into the half and the Men of Steel were 1 man down as Eli Sabia was flashed a red card.

ISL’s all-time top goal-scorer Bartholomew Ogbeche netted another goal in the 79th minute and glimpses of hope to the home side but it went in vain.

In the 79th minute of the game, Abdul Anjukandan lobbed in a cross from the right and that found Ogbeche in the far post who slotted it home despite losing his footing.

Jamshedpur FC leapfrogged East Bengal FC to come in the 9th position in the ISL 2022-23 points table with this win.
