2-time Indian Super League (ISL) winners have had a disappointing ISL 2022-23 season. They finished in the 8th position in the season and registered 7 wins in 20 games. Thomas Brdaric’s men lost the plot on most occasions and that didn’t enable them to qualify for the playoffs.
Now, they have announced their squad for the Super Cup 2023. All of their foreign players have been included in the roster and this gives them a lot of strength and bolsters their squad.
“We have spent two and a half weeks in preparations. Hopefully, everybody will be able to contribute. Of course, I’m looking forward to the Super Cup because it’s a big chance. Our target is also to reach the final. And we will give everything for that,” said Thomas Brdaric, who is the Head Coach of Chennaiyin FC.
The Chennai Machans kick-starts their Super Cup 2023 campaign from tomorrow when they cross swords with NorthEast United FC. It will be played at the Payyanad Stadium and is slated to begin from 8:30 PM (IST).
Chennaiyin FC play their remaining group stage games against Churchill Brothers and ISL 2022-23 League Shield Winners, Mumbai City FC.
All of their matches will be played at the Payyanad Stadium.
