Beginning on May 9 and lasting until May 12, the second phase of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2024 will take place. 512 teams total-480 from Round 1 and 32 from the Grind competition will compete in this level.
Similar to the first round, Krafton will broadcast a select games from this round live on its official YouTube channel at 3:30 p.m. Indian Standard Time.
1024 teams competed in Round 1 of the BGIS 2024 from May 2-5, with the goal of earning 480 slots in the second round.
In Round 2, 512 clubs in total will be seeded into 32 groups of 16 teams each. For every group, the organizer will hold six matches spread across three maps.
The top seven positions in each group advance to Round 3. In addition, 16 teams will advance to the following round based on the overall points table.
There were 256 teams participating in the BGIS 2024 The Grind event, which concluded last month. Five teams, nevertheless, were eventually barred from this competition for cheating.
The teams ranked from 1 to 16 and from 17 to 32 have advanced to the third and fourth rounds, respectively. The teams ranked 33rd through 64th will square off in the second round.
Krafton has livestreamed all three of the eight out of 64 groups’ matches but has not yet revealed the results of the first round.

Several seasoned combinations from the Grind, like Team Tamilas, WSB, Insane, Gujarat Tigers, and Carnival Gaming, have advanced to this second round.
These teams will need to do better in the BGIS 2024 Round 2 after their mediocre Grind showcase.
Compared to the first round, this round of the tournament is predicted to be more competitive due to the numerous pro and semi-pro sides that will face off there.
