Free Fire will also participate in the Esports World Cup 2024, which will take place in Riyadh, according to a statement released by Garena. Numerous PC and mobile games will be featured in the esteemed esports competition. 

From July 10 to 14, 18 teams from across the world will compete in the Free Fire World Cup. For this match, a massive $1 million prize fund has been set aside.

According to Garena, there will be two phases to the competition: the Group Stage, which runs for three days from July 10 to 12, and the Grand Finals, which runs for two days from July 13 to 14. 

The winners of this competition will receive a straight place in the November 2024 FFWS (World Series) Global Finals in Brazil.

Esports World Cup Free Fire Tournament 

Six regions will send 18 Free Fire teams to the World Cup. The event’s qualifying procedure is as follows:

  • FFWS SEA Spring – 8 teams
  • FFWS LATAM – 3 teams
  • FFWS Brazil – 3 teams
  • Snapdragon Pro Series- 2 teams
  • MEA Qualifier – 1 team
  • PK Qualifier – 1 team

The dates of the FFWS Spring SEA are set for March 22–May 26. There, eighteen teams from Southeast Asia will compete for a $300,000 grand prize. 

Regional qualifiers in Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Thailand have already commenced. The Esports World Cup 2024 Riyadh will be attended by the top eight teams from this competition.

In the upcoming months, Brazil and Latin America will host the FFWS. Garena has not yet disclosed all of the specifics for any location. For the World Cup, the top three teams from each area will be selected. Brazil is set to host the ESL Snapdragon Pro Series on April 13 and 14. 

The SEA and LATAM regions are hosting the regional qualifiers. Twelve clubs in all will compete in this Pro Series to earn two World Cup spots and a $200,000 cash prize fund.

Each of the Pakistani and MEA qualifying teams will send one team to the World Cup. The planning for these events will begin in the upcoming months.

This year, Garena will play home to two major Free Fire competitions: the FFWS Global Finals and the Esports World Cup. Teams from all around the world have a fantastic chance to advance to these renowned tournaments, which will provide a substantial prize pool, by doing well in their regionals.
