After Manoj “Believe” Kumar’s BGMI team was surprisingly ousted from the BGIS 2023, he abruptly announced his retirement from Orangutan Gaming.

During the third round of the big tournament, the group struggled without its commander, Ash. The organization hasn’t yet issued a formal statement announcing his departure, however.

On October 8, Believe revealed on Instagram that he had split with Orangutan and was currently seeking other possibilities. He stated:

“It was a good journey together, but now it’s time to say bye to Jersey No.2 at OG. We have mutually decided to part ways and explore more options. DMs are open for opportunities.”

The prominent athlete is one of the select few who made their esports debut with PUBG Mobile in 2018 and are still active in the scene.

He has shown his value countless times after showcasing his extraordinary abilities.

Believe & Orangutan Gaming

In order to compete in BGMI esports, the well-known Indian company hired Ash, Believe, Drigger, and AK in late 2021.

Believe has worked as a player for a number of renowned organizations, including Megastars and Enigma Gaming.

Early on in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021, Orangutan Gaming utterly stumbled. The team had failed to qualify for the Grand Finals at all.

Following a lacklustre performance in a number of competitions, Orangutan put in an impressive performance in the BGMI Masters Series 2022, taking third place.

In the Battlegrounds Mobile India Showdown 2022, Believe and his teammates put on an amazing performance, finishing in second place in the official BGMI competition.

Believe and other members of Orangutan Gaming kept playing the game despite the ban. When BGMI was re-released in May 2023, they once again launched their campaign with this lineup.

The team finished second in the BGMS 2023. The Battle For Revolution S1 and the Upthrust Esports Pro Showdown S2 were victories for them.

However, the team struggled in the BGIS 2023, a prestigious competition with a hefty prize pool of Rs. 2 crore.
