The top eight teams in the three-day PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2024 Prelims secured a spot in the main tournament on April 3. This level had 24 teams competing in 12 matches each.
This grand competition is over for the lowest 16 teams from the preliminary round. 16 teams—eight from this stage and eight others—will compete in the main event from April 5–7.
In the PMGO Prelims, Team Falcons, who just acquired a stellar group of Mongolian players, won overall. Thanks to 89 eliminations and two Chicken Dinners, this team has amassed 133 points. Second place went to Regnum Carya Bra, who scored 113 points, including 73 kills.
PMGO 2024 Prelims
Brazil’s Smoke Gaming finished third in the preliminary round with 110 points. Throughout the stage, they had incredible accomplishments and won three Chicken Dinners. Zerbra Master, who had 68 eliminations and 103 points, finished in fourth place.
Vampire Esports from Thailand took fifth place with three Chicken Dinners and 99 points. The winning lineup from PMWI 2023 will compete in the first PMGO.
With 85 and 79 points, respectively, IW NRX and Royals of War finished the preliminary round in sixth and seventh place. After placing eighth in the preliminary round, Brazilian Death Wolves were able to guarantee their participation in the main event.
After making their PUBG Mobile esports debuts in February 2024, Teams Furia and Liquid had a dismal beginning to their first big competition, finishing in ninth and tenth place, respectively, in its preliminary round. By a slim margin, neither will make it to the main event.
The remaining eight squads, which consist of those invited to the PMGO Main Event, those who advanced from the Qualifier Finals, and teams that won regional competitions, will now face the top eight teams from the Prelims.
