After some incredible performances, Japan’s Reject emerged as the clear winners of the PUBG Mobile Global Open (PMGO) 2024 Brazil. The seasoned team finished with 157 points after 18 games. 

In the PUBG Mobile esports scene, this is the first Japanese club to win an international award. Prize money of $100,000 was given to the side.

At this esteemed competition, Brazilian squad Alpha7 Esports came in second. They had total control throughout Day 1, but they lost steam over the next two days. 

With 139 points, they were awarded the $50,000 runner-up prize. Just Revoo, one of their players, secured 32 eliminations.

The 2023 PMWI winners, Vampire Esports, took third place with 127 points and three Chicken Dinners. TonyK and schwepDSIII, two of their teammates, scored 27 and 26 kills, respectively.

The allocation of prize money for this event is as follows:

  10. Dplus – $14,000
  11. HFIYS Esports – $12,000
  12. Nova Esports – $12,000
  13. Royals of War – $12,000
  14. Death Wolves – $12,000
  15. Zebra Master – $12,000
  16. Smoke Gaming – $12,000

The 2023 PMGC winners, IHC Esports, finished third with 127 points after losing all of their games in the PMGO Main Event. Turkey’s S2G Esports finished in fifth place with 126 points and two Chicken Dinners. The IW NRX team trailed behind this one.

With 123 points, Boom Esports, an Indonesian team, came in seventh place. After dominating the PMGO’s preliminary round, Team Falcons struggled in the final round and finished in eighth place.

South Korean team Dplus improved their performance in the final two PMGO games and finished in tenth place overall. At the conclusion of this event, HFIYS Esports from the United Kingdom held the 11th spot.
