Unexpectedly, well-known team GodLike Esports has been eliminated from the current Skyesesports BGMI Champions Series 2024 because of ringing. Even though Gill was not included on the SCS roster, the organizers disclosed that he was competing on Semifinals Day 5. This was under the alias GodL Pookie.

The team first asserted that Zgod’s secondary account was the owner of the ID (GodL Pookie).

GodLike Esports, under Jelly’s direction, finished Day 5 ranked 21st overall. Jonathan, a well-known member of the group, skipped a few games. On March 4, 2024, the Semifinals’ sixth and final day will take place. The top 16 teams will advance to the Grand Finals. There is a ₹10 lakh cash prize pool for this event.

GodLike Esports Disqualified

Along with five other teams, GodLike Esports received a straight invitation to the BGMI event‘s semifinals. In the last round, eighteen more teams advanced from the previous phase.

GodLike was disqualified by Skyesports, which was published on their social media channels following the conclusion of Day 5. The coordinators stated:

“After a meticulous review of the recent event during the Skyesports Champions series semi-finals on day 5, it has come to our attention that Godlike Esports, specifically with player GODL-Pookie, has been implicated in irregularities. The claim made by the team regarding the secondary account, GODL-Pookie, belonging to GODL-ZGOD has been investigated thoroughly.”

Skyesports went on to say that GodLike Esports’ complaint has been verified for the management as well. They stated:

“Upon further scrutiny, we have received official confirmation from Godlike Esports indicating that, on day 5, the account in question was not operated by GODL-ZGOD. Instead, it was brought to our attention that GODL-GILL, a player not registered with Godlike Esports, participated using the aforementioned account. Consequently, we regret to inform that Godlike Esports is hereby disqualified from further participation in the ongoing SCS event.”

GodLike’s disqualification means that just 23 BGMI teams will compete in the Semifinals on Day 6, with the top 16 teams from the overall rankings moving on to the next round.

After Day 5 of this round, Team Soul is presently ranked #1 with 179 points. Second and third place go to Team Tamilas and Entity, respectively.

Apollo was just added to the GodLike Esports team, which has been having trouble in the BGMI scene for a while. They did not, however, improve in any of the 20 games they played in the semifinals. Now, the club will get ready for the 2024 Battlegrounds Mobile India Series.
