The League of Legends T1 lineup for 2024 has been revealed, after months of fan intrigue that only grew following the 2023 World Championship.

The group initially hinted at an announcement four days after winning their fourth Worlds championship, on November 23, at 2:10 a.m.

They faced Weibo Gaming, the fourth-seeded team in the LPL, in the championship match as the final LCK team remaining in the league. They won 3-0. The year prior, this identical team qualified for the Worlds 2022 final but lost 3-2 to DRX.

Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok re-signed a three-year deal with the organization at the end of 2023; the original contract expires in November 2025. The contract for jungler Mun “Oner” Hyeon-jun expires in 2024.

This implied that three members of T1’s championship-winning squad were unrestricted free agents following League of Legends Worlds 2023, which sparked a lot of rumors among the community.

Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyeong made a suggestion in an interview with Naver that this lineup may be their last even before Worlds officially began.

That was all resolved today when T1 revealed that top laner Choi “Zeus” Woo-je, support Ryu “Keria” Min-seok, and bot laner Gumayusi had all resigned from their positions with the company.

This is new for T1 as none of the lineups who won previous championships returned to participate in full, even after they emerged victorious at Worlds in 2013, 2015, and 2016.

Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun, the head coach of T1’s past championship-winning teams, will returning to guide the Worlds 2023 victors in the upcoming season. T1 made this historic statement only yesterday.

In addition, he oversaw the South Korean squad that won a gold medal in the Asian Games this year.

In LCK Summer 2023, three-time world champion Bae “Bengi” Seong-woong abruptly resigned as head coach. Im “Tom” Jae-hyeon, a former SK Telecom T1 jungler, stepped forward to take over as temporary head coach.

They finished sixth in the regular season and second in the playoffs after losing to Gen.G 3-0 in the championship match, under his leadership for the duration of LCK Summer 2023.

They earned championship points and the second seed for the 2023 World Championship.

They started the competition with a 3-1 record in the Swiss round. They then defeated LNG Esports 3-0 in the quarterfinals, JD Gaming 3-1 in the semifinals, and Weibo Gaming, another LPL team, in the championship match.
