Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) lock horns with Delhi Capitals (DC) in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 in Match 3. The match will be taking place at the Ekana Sports City Stadium in Lucknow and is slated to begin from 7:30 PM (IST).
It is a double header match in the IPL and the 2nd game on this blockbuster Saturday is the game between Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals.
Lucknow finished in the 4th position after the playoffs in IPL 2023 and Delhi Capitals finished in the 5th position and narrowly missed out on the playoffs.
One of the new franchises in this 10-team IPL, Lucknow is skippered by KL Rahul. Lucknow Super Giants have a very balanced side and boast of some extremely versatile players.
The side has always been a batting heavy side and this time with the availability of English out-an-out fast bowler Mark Wood, Lucknow look like an extremely potent side.
One of the best purchases of the side in the IPL 2023 auction has been swashbuckling batter Nicholas Pooran and he will be a hot property in IPL 2023.
Avesh Khan and Mohsin Khan are two players to watch out for in the bowling department.
With Rishabh Pant being ruled out of IPL 2023, Delhi Capitals were in a lot of trouble. However, the franchise has named David Warner as the skipper of the team and he would be hoping to guide them to the path of glory.
Notably, David Warner has previously guided Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) to an IPL title in 2016 and for a span of 5 years, the Orange Army made an appearance in the playoffs.
Delhi Capitals have also roped in senior Indian cricketer Manish Pandey and in the absence of Pant, Manish Pandey has to step up for Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023.
Lucknow Super Giants have a 100%-win record against Delhi Capitals in the IPL as they had won both the games in IPL 2022 against them.
