LSG vs SRH Head-to-Head in IPL 2023

On April 7 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, the tenth game of the Indian Premier League 2023 would pit the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

This will be the two teams’ second meeting in the IPL history. Last season’s lone encounter saw LSG defeat SRH. Additionally, this will be the first encounter between the two teams at the BRSABV Stadium, which is the site of its second IPL game.

Because the Lucknow Super Giants are a new team that was established in the year 2022, there haven’t been many matches between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Lucknow Super Giants till now, and only one match was played in the previous IPL season. Lucknow Super Giants won by 12 runs in a medium-high scoring match.

The first match between LSG and SRH was played on April 4, 2022, at the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai. LSG batted first and set a 169-run target for Hyderabad to chase.

In response, SRH scored only 157 runs, thanks to the excellent knocks of Rahul Tripathi (44) and Nicholas Pooran (34) but lost by 12 runs. Avesh Khan of LSG was named man of the match for his outstanding bowling performance.

Lucknow Super Giants

Lucknow made a strong start to the competition. They won their first match of the season against the Delhi Capitals but were unable to maintain their winning momentum as they were defeated by the Chennai Super Kings by a margin of 12 runs while chasing a large total of 218.

Quinton de Kock’s return to LSG would be welcomed, and it will be intriguing to watch how he is incorporated into their starting lineup.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Sunrisers Hyderabad, on the other side, has had a dismal start to the season. SRH would be pleased with the return of Aiden Markram, who missed the first game due to national obligations after they were defeated by Rajasthan Royals by a large margin of 72 runs.

Markram is set to captain SRH in the forthcoming match. With the return of the SRH captain, the batting looks threatening, and the team will want to return to winning ways.
