India registers record victory over England in the 2nd Test in Chennai. Ravi Ashwin, Rohit Sharma, and Axar Patel emerged as the heroes of the game. And, Rishabh Pant also did brilliant work as far as his wicketkeeping is concerned. He paired with Ravi Ashwin and planned to dismiss young batsman Dan Lawrence in the 2nd innings. It was a treat to watch the strategy of Ashwin and Pant that led to the dismissal of Daniel Lawrence.

The right-handed England batsman got settled on the wicket and he was scoring runs against Indian bowlers with ease. But, Ravi Ashwin, who is in brilliant form, came with a plan to dismiss the 23-year-old. And, Rishabh Pant accompanied the Indian spinner in his plan.

The instance happened in the 26th over of the game when Ashwin was introduced in the bowling. He bowled a short of a length delivery. Lawrence tried to go for a boundary. But, the ball stayed low and went past his legs. In the end, Rishabh Pant, who was standing behind the stumps, quickly grab the ball dislodged the bails. At that time, Lawrence was way outside his crease and he was not in a position to reach inside the crease.

Coming onto the match, India defeated England by a big margin of 317 runs. Ravi Ashwin was awarded Man of the Match for taking a fifer and scoring a remarkable ton. Rohit Sharma also received applauds from the fans for scoring a well-deserved knock of 161 runs in the 1st innings. Meanwhile, Axar Patel also hogged the limelight as he took his first-ever fifer in international cricket. He became the 6th Indian cricketer to take a 5-wicket haul in his debut Test game.

Now, the next game is slated to be held in Sardar Patel Stadium (Motera Stadium), Ahmedabad. This is going to be the first-ever game to be played in one of the biggest cricket stadiums in the world. Th third Test will begin on February 24, 2020.
