During the opening game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023, Gujarat Titans (GT) suffered a big blow as Kane Williamson suffered a knee injury. While fielding in the deep square leg region, Williamson tried plucking a catch off thin air but landed awkwardly.
The Kiwi batter seemed in a lot of distress and had to be taken off the field. He immediately went to the hospital for scans and the Gujarat Titans team management confirmed his unavailability for the rest of the tournament.
Kane Williamson will be hoping to get fit before the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, which is slated to take place later this year.

Even though Cadmore is an uncapped player, he has the experience of playing the world-class bowlers across the globe and can be a valuable player in the middle-order for the Hardik Pandya led Gujarat side.
3. Reeza Hendricks
South African batter Reeza Hendricks is one of the most solid and compact T20 batters of present times. In the recently-concluded T20I series between South Africa and West Indies, Hendricks was on fire and finished the series as the leading run-getter.
He can most certainly be a good addition to the side of Gujarat Titans. In the series versus West Indies, Reeza Hendricks scored 172 runs at had an insane strike-rate of 204.76.
The 33-year-old South African batter has so far played 50 T20Is and has amassed 1461 runs. He has 12 fifties under his belt.
