In this article, we take a look at 3 talking points of yesterday’s SRH vs MI game in IPL 2023:

1. Arjun Tendulkar bags his maiden IPL wicket

Coming with a big baggage of a surname, Arjun Tendulkar’s cricketing life has never been easy. He has always inadvertently been in the limelight and has always been the subject of trolls.

However, he delivered the goods with the white-cherry yesterday under tremendous pressure. Arjun Tendulkar had to defend 20 runs in the last over and he did it with perfection.

In the process, he also had the scalp of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and was seen smiling with elation.

2. Cameron Green finally puts a lid on the mouths of his naysayers

After being bought for a lofty amount of Rs. 17.50 crores in the IPL 2023 auction, there were a sea of expectations on Cameron Green. And after he failed to get his bearings right in the first few matches of IPL 2023, people started trolling him for his below-par performances.

Finally, the young and talented Australian all-rounder has proved his mettle in IPL 2023. He not only scored 64* runs in just 40 balls, but also took a wicket. He essentially spearheaded MI to a victory in this game.

3. Mayank Agarwal’s slow knock costed SRH a few deliveries

Mayank Agarwal hasn’t been at his usual best in IPL 2023. He has struggled with timing and hasn’t gotten big scores. In this SRH vs MI game, Mayank Agarwal scored 48 runs in 41 balls and many have been deeming this innings as a slow one.

However, it needs to be noted that Agarwal was holding the fort tightly from one end. Wickets kept falling on the other end as Harry Brook, Rahul Tripathi and then skipper Aiden Markram were dismissed quite early.
