PBKS's predicted playing XI

The Royal Challengers Bangalore team will face a significant challenge when they play the refreshed Punjab Kings team in the IPL 2023 on Thursday, April 20, at the IS Bindra stadium in Mohali.

It will be a matchup of two powerful teams, but RCB has recently slipped behind the pack as a result of their most recent loss. RCBs are positioned eighth in the standings, while PBKS are fifth with six points right now. This season, South African Faf du Plessis is leading RCB while Shikhar Dhawan, a stalwart of India, is in charge of Punjab.

The Kings enter this match having defeated KL Rahul’s Lucknow Super Giants by two wickets, while RCB lost to Chennai Super Kings by a narrow margin of eight runs in their last encounter. Check complete details on PBKS vs RCB playing XI, Dhawan’s and Liam Livingstone’s availability,

Shikhar Dhawan is likely to miss today’s match

Shikhar Dhawan will probably not play for Punjab Kings against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday in the Indian Premier League (IPL), since he missed the team’s most recent game because of a shoulder ailment.

Shikhar Dhawan missed the team’s most recent match against LSG due to a niggle; Sam Curran took over as captain. Shikhar sustained an injury in their most recent game (against the Gujarat Titans), according to Curran, who said after the toss that he doesn’t know how serious it is but hopes he won’t be out for too long.

The bowling coach Charl Langeveldt indicated that Dhawan might not be ready to make a comeback just yet after the 37-year-old underwent a fitness test during the King’s training session the day before the game.

With his performance throughout the course of the first four games, Dhawan has won over everyone. He scored 233 runs at an average of 116.50 in those four games.

The Kings will suffer a great loss without him, and the team is hoping that the star hitter will soon be fully fit again.

Will Liam Livingstone play in PBKS vs RCB clash?

Star English all-rounder Liam Livingstone is another player whose availability is still up in the air. Although Livingstone has arrived in India, it is unclear whether he will play on Thursday after missing the previous two games.

The team’s batting order hasn’t performed well so far, but the management is hoping that players like Prabhsimran Singh and Matthew Short would wow the home crowd.

Punjab Kings Probable Playing XI:

Atharva Taide/Shikhar Dhawan, Prabhsimran Singh, Matthew Short/Liam Livingstone, Sikandar Raza, Sam Curran (c), Jitesh Sharma (wk), Shahrukh Khan, Harpreet Brar, Kagiso Rabada, Rahul Chahar, Arshdeep Singh
