Surya Kumar Yadav showcased a masterful innings as he smashed 102* runs in this game and scored his 2nd IPL hundred. He also became the 2nd Mumbai Indians player to score multiple IPL hundreds after Rohit Sharma, who also has 2 IPL hundreds.

3. Hardik Pandya’s exceptional bowling performance

Hardik Pandya knows how to put a lid on the mouth of his naysayers. In the past as well, the skipper of Mumbai Indians has shown his mental resolve and grit. And with the ball on 6th May 2024, Hardik Pandya was breathing fire.

He bagged the wickets of Nitish Kumar Reddy, Marco Jansen and Shahbaz Ahmed and helped Mumbai Indians restrict the Hyderabad side to 173 runs. It was a stark contrast from the earlier fixture between these two sides when it was a plain-and-simple run-fest.
