It looked like an easy score to chase for the strong batting line-up of Lucknow Super Giants. But that was not the case as Trent Boult and Yuzvendra Chahal had different plans.

Rajasthan Royals pacer Trent Boult bowled out KL Rahul on a world-class delivery

The left-arm Kiwi pacer bowled a smoky in-swinger that slashed down Rahul’s stump leaving everyone stunned on the field. It was a peach of a delivery that swing towards the batsmen. Post-match, Trent Boult gave credits to his national teammate James Neesham, who is part of the Royals squad in the ongoing season.

As per the Kiwi pacer, his national teammate had boosted him for going aggressively in the match for the wickets. He added that this helped him in taking a couple of important wickets from the word go in the matches.

“(Around the wicket to KL Rahul) It was a late call in the morning. It was Neesham’s idea. Rahul is a great player, but nice for a plan like that to come off. It is my role with the new ball to be aggressive and take wickets in the powerplay so it was a good feeling to get a couple. (Came over the wicket later) You guys have seen me bowl enough,” Boult said.

After winning the match, Boult also lavished praise for the young pacer Kuldeep Sen, who bowled a crucial final over in the match, when Marcus Stoinis was slamming sixes with ease. The youngster bowled three crucial dot balls in the over and the Royals won the game.

“At the top it is to pitch it up and get some movement. (Kuldeep Sen) He is a great guy, bowls with heart. Executed under pressure and will only grow from an experience like that. There are some quality fast bowling assets in our side and throughout the tournament. (Are you going to watch the over again?) I will probably watch my batting first,” he added.
