Sunil Narine, the talented and experienced all-rounder of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), has been the backbone of the 2-time Indian Premier League (IPL) champions. He has contributed with the bat and with the ball in this season and has been one of the most exciting players to watch out for.
Partnering with Phil Salt at the top, Narine has made KKR get off to flying and aggressive starts in the IPL and has been a force to reckon with. With the white-cherry as well, the West Indian cricketer has been economical and had conceded only 24 runs in the previous game of KKR versus Delhi Capitals (DC).
Now in the post-match presentations, Shreyas Iyer was asked whether Sunil Narine attends the team meetings of KKR when it comes to the batting department. The captain of KKR jokingly gave a hilarious answer about Sunil Narine.
“Sunny, not at all. Phil, he comes into the team meetings and he is completely engrossed into the game. Pure bliss to see the way he is performing. He does not, and I would recommend him to not come as well,” said Shreyas Iyer at the post-match presentation ceremony after the completion of KKR vs DC.

After a disappointing 8-wicket loss at the hands of Punjab Kings (PBKS) on 26th April 2024, KKR bounced back to winning ways with a dominating 7-wicket victory against Delhi Capitals (DC) on 29th April 2024.
Shreyas Iyer and co. are in the 2nd position in the IPL 2024 points table, with 6 wins under their belt in 9 games. Rajasthan Royals (RR) are at the top with 16 points in their kitty.
For the Knights, the opening partnership of Sunil Narine and Phil Salt has been a big revelation for them. Both the batters complement each other. While Salt goes berserk against the pacers, Narine plays spin extremely well.
Both these batters have scored 485 runs for the opening-stand partnership of KKR in IPL 2024. They have a scoring rate of 12.43 and are the cynosure of all eyes.
