India registered a thumping win over Sri Lanka in the 1st game of the three-match ODI series. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was awarded Man of the Match for taking a four-wicket haul. He was happy with his performance in the game. At the same time, he was upset with Yuzvendra Chahal for not inviting him to the Chahal Tv during the post-presentation for long.

India managed a score of 164 runs for a loss of five wickets in the 1st T20I. Suryakumar Yadav carried his convincing ODI form in the shorter format series as well. He slammed a remarkable fifty with his willow as he scored 50 runs off 36 balls. Indian skipper Shikhar Dhawan also amassed 46 runs off 36 balls in the opening game. To add cheery on the top Ishan Kishan played a cameo of 20 runs off 14 balls that helped Team India in posting a respectable total.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar Responds Why He Is Upset With Yuzvendra Chahal

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was dropped from the test side by the selectors, proved his worth with the ball once again for Team India. He took four wickets dismissing the likes of Avishka Fernando, Chamika Karunaratne, Isuru Udana and Dushmantha Chameera.

Post-match, Yuzvendra Chahal invited Bhuvneshwar Kumar to his channel. While discussing the game Bhuvi revealed that he was upset with the Indian leg-spinner for inviting him late on his famous channel. As per him, he always wanted to come onto his channel. But, the Indian spinner never invited him for the same.

“I am upset with Chahal, as this is my first time on his show. I kept making signs from the dressing room, requesting him to invite me on the show, but he never called me,” said Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who was awarded the Player of the Match earlier in the day for his four-for.

“There was a bit of swing early on. With Sri Lankan batters taking risks early on, there were boundaries. In the middle overs, the focus was on getting as many dot balls as possible, and towards the death, I looked to take the pace off the ball. Things fell in place in terms of execution.”
