Rohit Sharma Injury Update

During the second ODI against Bangladesh, Indian captain Rohit Sharma experienced a near-injury scare when he was taken to the hospital for a scan after hurting his webbing in the second over. While fielding in the slip during the second One-Day International against Bangladesh on Wednesday in Dhaka, Rohit Sharma suffered a finger injury.

When Bangladeshi opener Anamul Haque gave Mohammad Siraj an outside edge, Rohit was at the second slip. However, the Indian captain lost the ball and, worse yet, hurt his finger in the process. Sharma left the field while appearing to be in pain. For scans, he was brought to the hospital.

Rohit went for scans

“India Captain Rohit Sharma suffered a blow to his thumb while fielding in the 2nd ODI. The BCCI Medical Team assessed him. He has now gone for scans,” BCCI said in a tweet.

Bangladesh won the toss

Bangladesh chose to bat first after winning the toss. The hosts did not get a good start as they batted first. At the same time, Indian team skipper Rohit Sharma hurt himself while fielding during the innings of the Bangladeshi team. He was forced to abandon the game in the midst as a result.

Shahbaz Ahmed and Kuldeep Sen were swapped out for Umran Malik and Axar Patel in India’s second ODI substitutions. Bangladesh won the opening ODI by one wicket to take a 1-0 series lead after three games.
