The Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises have been informed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) about the players’ availability for the 2023 season.
As per the Cricbuzz report, with the exception of Sri Lankans and Bangladeshis, shortlisted players from all other nations will compete throughout the entire competition.
Particularly for the IPL, despite the preparation for the Ashes, which begins in mid-June, the players from Australia and England will be totally available. IPL teams were in jeopardy for the availability of Australian and English players due to the Ashes but now it is clear.
The report further stated, The players from Bangladesh who were chosen for the Ireland series will attend the IPL for a limited amount of time. A side like Royal Challengers Bangalore would have to play without its important spinner Wanindu Hasaranga for the first four games because the Sri Lankan players won’t arrive until April 8.
