During the game, Kieron Pollard was also spotted enjoying the batting of Suryakumar Yadav in the 3rd and final affair of the T20I series. Post-match, Pollard praised his IPL franchise Mumbai Indians, teammate for his brilliant knock.

Pollard asserted that Suryakumar Yadav is a world-class batsman and his presence in the Indian side makes them a much stronger team.

“Surya is a world-class player. I had the opportunity to play at Mumbai Indians with him since he first came in in 2011. Great to see he has grown a lot since then. He is doing great things for himself and India as a 360-degree player. All batters can take a page out of his book,” Pollard said during a virtual press meet on Sunday.

“Happy with the series. Pretty much got everything we wanted. We do understand we are very young as a team. We are still a good chasing side, but a lot of the players are missing. It was pleasing to see guys bailing the team out from situations. Good sign moving forward as a group and something to be proud of.”

“Few guys miss out for the Sri Lanka series because we want to keep them fresh. But we have the World Cup in mind and we are trying to give game time for individuals. I am not someone who looks at the opposition, I would like to see what we can do as a team,” Sharma added in a post-match presentation.
