Saurashtra lifted their 2nd Vijay Hazare Trophy after beating Maharashtra in the finals of the recently-concluded Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022. A clinical knock from Ruturaj Gaikwad of 108 runs went in vain as Sheldon Jackson’s knock hogged the limelight.

Jackson scored 133* runs and his innings was laced with 12 fours and 5 sixes. Saurashtra captain Jaydev Unadkat successfully guided his team to their 2nd Vijay Hazare Trophy victory. The other star player in the tournament was Tamil Nadu’s Narayan Jagadeesan. He became a social media sensation after scoring 277 runs in just 141 deliveries. The blitz against Arunachal Pradesh was one of the best innings in List-A cricket.

After a hiatus of 14 years, Saurashtra lifted the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2022 and it is indeed a very special moment for them. The team had also won their first Ranji Trophy in the 2019-20 season. The team has been consistently playing well in domestic cricket and the records speak for themselves.
