Ben Foakes, the England wicketkeeper has attracted the sight of every cricket fan with his brilliant wicketkeeping skills in the ongoing 2nd Test. He has done a great job behind the wickets and pulled off some quick stumping that resembles MS Dhoni’s style.

England didn’t have a great game till the end of Day-2. But, they bounced back strongly on Day-3. And, birthday boy Ben Foakes played a crucial role in making things from bad to good. He pulled off a couple of stumping and a brilliant run-out to dismiss the Indian top-order batsman Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant, and Cheteshwar Pujara. He was lightning quick with his glovework due to which England marked a strong comeback.

Ben Foakes Turns MS Dhoni Mode On Day-3, Stumps Rishabh Pant Out

The track in Chennai has become a blessing as they are enough turns from the wicket. In the ongoing Test on Day-3, all the wickets have been taken by the spinners. Indian batsman came out to bat with an approach to quickly post a good total on the scoreboard. However, they got a dangerous wicket to bat on.

None of them could manage to play their strokes against the England spinners. Even the former players took to social media and criticized Chennai’s pitch. And, certainly keeping on such a wicket is not an easy task. But, Ben Foakes has successfully managed in keeping his game at an elite level.

The English wicketkeeper showed a glimpse of MS Dhoni as he stumped Rishabh Pant on Day-3. Rishabh Pant had an edge over Jack Leach in the 1st Test. He hammered visitors’ spinner for boundaries and sixes with ease. And, the southpaw acquired the same approach against the 29-year-old. However, this time, he ended up giving away his wicket.

Leach bowled a flighted one and Pant tried to smash it for a six. But, the ball came inside and Ben Foakes dislodged the bails on the back of his quick glovework.
