Luka Doncic was born on February 28 1999. Doncic is a professional basketball player from Slovenia and plays for the Dallas Mavericks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He is regarded as one of the greatest basketball players in Europe. The basketballer also plays for the Slovenian National side.
Doncic was born in Ljubljana. Doncic first showed his class as a player in Youth Basketball for Union Olimpija. Then in a short while he moved to the Real Madrid Youth academy. Senior Career
On September 22, 2016. Doncic permanently pledged his allegiance to the Slovenian national team. This happened after rumours were saying that the Slovenian could play for either Spain or Siberia.

Summer Olympics 2020
In the 2020 FIBA Men’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament, Doncic captained Slovenia to earn a place in the Olympics. Doncic also won MVP in the tournament. Slovenia recorded a win against Lithuania where he recorded 31 points, 11 rebounds, and 13 assists in the final round.
On July 26 2021, Luka Doncic made his debut at the Olympics. Doncic recorded 48 points in a 118-100 win against Argentina. His 48 points was the second most in a Summer Olympics game. Doncic put up the triple-double in the semi-final fixture against France.

Though Doncic scored 30+ points in the quarterfinals Slovenia were beaten by Poland in a closely fought game by 90-87. Doncic though, ended up with 30+ points in his last three games and was the first player to achieve this historic feat.

FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023
During the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup Doncic made it to the special 200-point club. He was the first player to get the record in a single World Cup edition, Doncic was at the top of the charts with 27.0 points which included 7.1 rebounds, 6.1 assists and 2.5 steals per game. Doncic also made it to the World Cup all-tournament team.

Real Madrid -2015 to 2018
Doncic started his professional basketball debut with Real Madrid and became the youngest player to ever play for the club in the ACB at 16 years, 2 months, and two days He became the youngest player in the league’s history.
After playing five matches in the 2014–15 ACB season Doncic became a regular member of Real Madrid’s senior team from the 2015–16 season.
