Steve Smith is one of the best players in terms of one-day cricket, but the same cannot be said about his performances in Twenty20 cricket. He was given a lot of opportunities to define himself in the T20 format but he wasn’t consistent enough to justify his place in.
Now that we know some of the facts related to the upcoming auction, Steve is no longer a candidate for winning this year’s auction and will probably not be picked up by any team going forward because their squad has been built around other players who are more likely candidates for success at this level.
