National Team Contract
According to BCCI’s 2023-24 schedule, Patel is part of the BCCI’s “Grade B” contract, which fetches him ₹3 crore annually. IPL Contract
In 2013, Axar was signed by Mumbai Indians for ₹10 lakh, but he didn’t get to play a single game that year. The following year, Axar was acquired by Punjab Kings for just 75 lakh and he performed wonders for the team. He picked 17 wickets at an economy of 6.13 and also became the 2nd highest wicket-taker for Punjab Kings that year. In the subsequent time, Punjab became the runner-up of the competition and could not cross the finish line. During the 2018 IPL auction, Axar was the only player retained by the Punjab Kings.
The team awarded him a huge amount of ₹6.75 crore. The following season, Patel was signed by Delhi Capitals for ₹5 crore. In the 2022 mega auction, Delhi Capitals retained him as a secondary player for a huge sum of ₹9 crore.
