James Anderson, the veteran Indian pacer is set to miss the fourth Test against India. The England coach has given a big hint stating that he is an important player for the team and the team management doesn’t want him to get injured.
The Test series is currently on level as hosts England managed a good comeback in the 3rd Test. They defeated Team India by an innings and 76 runs. James Anderson, who is in fine form with the ball, took four wickets in the third Test. And, overall he has grabbed 13 wickets in three games. Meanwhile, being one of the experienced pacer of the side, Anderson has successfully kept Indian skipper Virat Kohli away from playing a sensational knock.

Now, the 39-year-old is expected to be given rest in order to keep him fresh for the upcoming season of cricket. In an interview, England’s bowling coach revealed that James Anderson is getting older and they don’t want him to get injured. As per him, at the age of 39 it is not good to make him play back to back games for long.
“What I don’t want to do is break them. We’ve got a lot of cricket in front of us. The Tests are coming thick and fast now. Back-to-back, it is difficult,” said England head coach Chris Silverwood to the media while pointing out the workload of his two new-ball bowlers, Anderson and Ollie Robinson.
He asserted that every player in current situation is giving his best. Meanwhile, it is board responsibility to take care of players.
“These guys are giving everything, every day when we are out on the field and we have got to make sure we are looking after them. But I won’t be making any decisions or judgments right now,” he added.
