Beginning on January 13, 2023, the United Arab Emirates will host the first-ever International League T20. The six teams will compete between January 13 and February 6, 2023, in a double round-robin league. Following the 30 league games, the Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and Final will all take place on February 8, 10, and 12, respectively.
For the first ILT20 season, the Gulf Giants are owned by Capri Global Capital Limited. The team will be coached by Paul Farbrace and will be led by Moeen Ali.
In addition to signing Ali, the Sharjah-based team has Evin Lewis from the West Indies, Chris Woakes, Danny Briggs, and Dawid Malan from England, Mohammad Nabi, Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Noor Ahmad, and Naveen Ul Haq from Afghanistan, and a quartet of players from the UAE.
Deyal, Benjamin, and Kohler-Cadmore have never played for an international cricket team, whereas Khan and Smit, who represent Oman and Namibia, respectively, fill the Sharjah Warriors squad’s required associate player slots.
