In preparation for the third One-Day International between India and New Zealand on Tuesday, January 24, Suryakumar Yadav and a select group of other Indian team members visited the Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain.
The Team India batsman clarified the reason for the visit, saying he prayed for Rishabh Pant’s quick recovery. After concluding his prayers, Suryakumar Yadav spoke to the media and said that Pant is a crucial member of the team and that it is crucial that he is back. Due to injuries, he incurred in a car accident on December 30, the wicketkeeper-batter is temporarily out of commission.
Following the initial course of treatment, the youngster was airlifted from Dehradun and is now recuperating in Mumbai under the care of the Board of Control for Cricket in India’s (BCCI) medical staff. His knee ligaments in particular have suffered significant damage, which keeps him from playing for the foreseeable future.

Prayed for the speedy recovery of Rishabh Pant
Suryakumar, who performed Baba Mahakal’s Bhasma Aarti with his teammates, told ANI:
“We prayed for the speedy recovery of Rishabh Pant. His comeback is very important to us. We have already won the series against New Zealand, looking forward to the final match against them.”
India continued their dominant form in ODIs
After recently thrashing Sri Lanka, India maintained their dominance in one-day internationals by jumping off to a commanding 2-0 lead against New Zealand. India will probably test their bench strength because the third and final ODI is scheduled to be a dead rubber. If so, a break might be provided to Mohammed Shami and Virat Kohli. Rajat Patidar and Umran Malik are expected to be included in the starting XI for the last game.
On Tuesday, the ODI in Indore will be played. The hosts hope to extend their winning streak, while NZ hopes to even the score before the T20 Internationals.
