WI vs BAN Betmaster Match Prediction, 23rd Match T20 World Cup, 29th October 2021

West Indies

West Indies will look for their first win in this tournament. The defending champions currently find themselves at the bottom of the table after a couple of forgettable outings in the tournament.

In the first match, they were bundled out for just 55 runs against England. In the second match, they bettered that score by adding 88 more runs to the total. However, it wasn’t enough for them to defeat South Africa.

On paper, West Indies are probably the best team in the tournament and we have seen every single batter in their team go on to win matches for their side. In the batting line-up that has players like Chris Gayle, Shimron Hetmyer, Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard among others, one certainly expects the team to get over their losses quickly and make up for the poor net run-rate as well.

To add more experience to this line-up, the team has included Jason Holder in the squad as the replacement for Obey McCoy.

Bangladesh

Bangladesh came into the Super-12s after decent returns in the first round, where they were the favorites to top the group. While they did struggle initially, they were able to make it to the next round.

In fact, they began the Super-12s well by putting up a fighting total of 171 for 4 against Sri Lanka. However, sloppy fielding and poor bowling turned things around in the middle overs for them as they ended on the wrong side of the result.

In the second match, they had a below-par total against South Africa. The latter proved too good for the Tigers and now, the team is at the fifth position. They will bet their money on the experience of Shakib Al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim along with Mohammad Naim, who had hit two fifties in his last four matches.

Popular Betting Odds For WI vs BAN, 23rd Match T20 World Cup, Beastmaster Match Prediction, Cricket Betting Tips

Top Batter from West Indies– Evin Lewis (1.87 odds)

When Lendl Simmons was struggling to score quickly at one end, Evin Lewis showed a glimpse of form in the match against South Africa. He showed positive intent right from ball one and struck six sixes and three fours to score his first half-century of this World Cup T20. Most importantly, he took just 35 deliveries for his knock. The team needs more from him in this contest as they are in desperate need of a big win here.

Top Batter from Bangladesh – Mohammad Naim (2.05 odds)

Bangladesh might have lost both their contests but when they look back, the most optimistic thing in both contests is the performance of Mohammad Naim. The opener had scored two fifties in his last four T20 matches. He gave something to bowl to in the first contest by taking on the Sri Lankan opening pace attack in the first match. He had 62 from 52 deliveries. In a couple of matches ago against Oman, he had 64 from just 50 deliveries.

Top Bowler from West Indies – DJ Bravo (2.01 odds)

If bowling in death overs is an art, he is certainly the Picasso of it. Once again, the team will bet all their money on their most experienced bowler here. He will be taking care of the death overs. Even though he didn’t do well in this tournament so far, he was the star for Chennai Super Kings in their last trophy win. He had eleven wickets from his seven matches in the second leg of the tournament. Most importantly, he was economical in almost every single match there.

Top Bowler from Bangladesh– Shakib Al Hasan (3.5 odds)

The veteran all-rounder has been the stand-out performer with the ball for Bangladesh in this tournament. He has gone wicketless only once in the five matches in the World Cup so far. However, he was economical in that contest as well. In his last nine matches, Shakib Al Hasan has picked up 15 wickets while giving away just 5.38 runs per over and has a strike rate of 13.60 with the ball.
