Prithvi Shaw is in the form of his life. He has been trending at the moment for his record innings of 379(383) in the 1st innings of the Mumbai vs Assam match in the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2022-23. After being snubbed from both the ODI and T20I series against Sri Lanka despite being in hot and blistering form, Prithvi Shaw was understandably disappointed.
After Day 1 got over, Prithvi Shaw spoke to Sportstar and opened up on a myriad of things. On addressing about what is written on social media about him, the 23-year-old talented cricketer gave a very blunt answer.
“What can I do? Sidha ignores kar deta hoon (I just ignore them). I am not a person who loves talking negative things about people. At times, it hurts when you see or come across things about yourself that are not correct. But you need to take things in your stride and follow your own process.”
“As long as I am okay with my performance and how I deal with my life, I don’t worry about what’s being written or spoken about. Agar main Sahi hoon (if I am right), then if someone is saying something on social media, Mujhe koi farak nahi padta (it does not bother me),” said the Mumbai cricketer.
Mumbai is presently batting at 608/3. Shaw’s score is the second-highest score in the history of the Ranji Trophy.
