MS Dhoni’s legacy in the Indian Premier League (IPL) is second to none. The former Indian captain is the joint most-successful IPL captain and has 5 titles under his belt. Apart from winning the titles, he has been a revolutionary leader and his thought process is legendary to say the least.
He marshalled his troops extremely well in IPL 2023 and guided them to a famous victory. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Gujarat Titans (GT) by 5-wickets in the finals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
Speaking about that magical night in Ahmedabad, MS Dhoni dropped a bombshell of a statement about the win of CSK. Notably, the Men in Yellow needed 10 runs off 2 balls in the final over and Ravindra Jadeja was the cynosure of all eyes as he smashed Mohit Sharma in the last over.
“It looked like it was very well scripted by God. You know, because it didn’t start on time. It was the only final that went on for three days. Then they scored the kind of runs they scored. The best thing that would have happened was that we would have gotten the target before the start of the innings, and that’s literally what happened,” said MS Dhoni in an event.
