Simon Doull’s Comment

Simon Doull, a former New Zealand pacer who is now a cricket commentator and presenter, has been trending on social media recently. He recently criticised Pakistan and Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam for playing a selfish knock that ultimately cost his team against the Quetta Gladiators when he is in Pakistan performing commentary responsibilities.

Although his remarks about Babar sparked a significant outcry in Pakistan, another video of him making a remark about Pakistani pacer Hasan Ali’s wife, who was spotted supporting Islamabad United during the PSL match, is currently going popular on social media.

The 53-year-old Doull can be seen admiring Samiyaa Arzoo’s beauty by making a statement on air in a video that is becoming viral on social media. The video is from PSL match number 24, which took place on March 7 at the Pindi Club Stadium in Rawalpindi between Islamabad United and Multan Sultans.

While the camera was on Hassan Ali’s wife Samiyaa Arzoo during Islamabad’s close victory over the Sultans after chasing down the goal of 206 runs in 19.5 overs, Doull was providing analysis and was overheard saying, “She has won it. She has won a few hearts as well, I believe. That is superb, absolutely stunning. And the victory.”

His fellow commentator could be heard laughing at his comment in the background, but the users on Twitter weren’t impressed by his comment and expressed their anger on social media.

Although a fellow commenter could be heard laughing at his comment in the background, Twitter users weren’t amused and expressed their anger at it online.

After defeating Multan, Islamabad took on the defending champions Lahore Qalandars in their ninth league game of the competition on Thursday (March 9), but they were humiliated by 119 runs in this game, which ended their chances of topping the points standings. They could only muster 107 runs in response to the Shaheen Afridi-led team’s 226 total runs.

Fakhar Zaman ton helps Qalandars

When Asif Ali dropped Fakhar Zaman, he scored only 2 runs. Hasan Ali dropped him once more on 71 runs. And those two extensions came at a high price as Lahore Qalandars won by a margin of 119 runs, the most in Pakistan Super League history, to complete a season sweep of Islamabad United.
