Sohail “Hector” Shaikh is a professional Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) player for Team SouL. He recently revealed how Team SouL’s mentality has been affected by the BGMI ban time and playing for India at the PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) 2022.
Team SouL emerged as the champions of the BGMI Pro Series, earning the team a spot on the PMWI 2022 world stage.
Regardless of the PUBG Mobile ban in India, which prevented the team from receiving any publicity abroad for nearly two years, they performed admirably throughout the competition and placed 11th.
Hector on the BGMI ban and PMWI 2022
One of Hector’s followers in a recent livestream questioned him about his timetable prior to the suspension of BGMI. Hector responded by saying his timetable was exceptionally challenging.
He stated how there was little to no time for other tasks because they had matches all day. He added that even though his squad had access to a gym, they were frequently too worn out from playing the game to go work out. They would consequently skip their workouts as a result.
Hector emphasised that the squad had a lot of opportunities to watch and gain knowledge during the BGMI ban time. Hector stated that Team SouL had a weaker mindset prior to the BGMI ban.
He said, “However, in the ban period, we have observed a lot of things, understood a lot of things, and got to learn a lot of things; related to our personal lives, as well as related to the game. As a result, our mentality has improved.”

He continued by saying that PMWI 2022 had also given the group expertise and showed them how everything operated. He pledged that the squad would use its expertise and experience to play at its peak when the BGMI unban eventually takes place.
On participating in the PMWI 2022, Hector said, “It gained us a massive experience of how everything works and all. So, hopefully, when the game returns, we will give our best.”
Team SouL was undoubtedly one of the best teams in India prior to the game’s prohibition. It will be fascinating to watch how the players perform in domestic and foreign tournaments after the game’s possible return due to the experience and knowledge the team has acquired.
