Bengaluru FC win

There is absolutely no stopping Bengaluru FC. Simon Grayson’s men have logged their 8th consecutive win in the ongoing Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 and are in the 3rd position in the points table.

After beating FC Goa 3-1 at the Sree Kanteerava Stadium in Bengaluru, the Blues assured themselves of a top-four finish in this season. They also crushed the Gaurs’ hopes of qualifying for the playoffs. Notably, this was a must-win game for Carlos Pena’s side.

In the 6th minute of the game, the young sensation of Bengaluru FC, Sivasakthi Narayanan scored a goal for Bengaluru FC and disrupted the parity in the score-line. He was unmarked inside the penalty box and he made a sharp run from the goalkeeper to the area where the corner kick was headed to.

Iker Guarrotxena restored parity between the two sides in the 33rd minute with a sensational goal. Noah Sadaoui whipped in a perfect cross and it was once again headed into the back of the net. A tale of two headers thus far in the game!

In the 76th minute, Narayanan once again scored a goal for Bengaluru FC. Suresh Wangjam took a shot that was saved by the opposition goalkeeper but fell right in the trajectory of Narayanan, who slotted it to the back of the net.

Pablo Perez put an end to all the slim hopes of the FC Goa team in the 81st minute when he netted a goal for Bengaluru FC and took the score-line to 3-1. He thereby put the game beyond the hands of FC Goa.

Even though skipper Brandon Fernandes created 3 chances for FC Goa in the game, he couldn’t capitalize on them and score a goal.

Prabir Das was fantastic in the defense for Simon Grayson’s side as he executed 7 tackles and made 2 blocks.
