Hyderabad FC semi-final

Hyderabad FC and ATK Mohun Bagan were involved in a fierce and tense goalless draw in the 1st leg of the 2nd semi-final in the ongoing Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23. The Nizams now have a tougher job at hand as they will have to travel to Kolkata to face the Mariners in the second leg.

It will be played on 13th March 2023 in front of a packed Salt Lake Stadium. Definitely, its not going to be an easy job for the travelling team.

Even though both Hyderabad FC and ATK Mohun Bagan played some good football, there failed to be any goal in this game. A game that definitely didn’t deserve to be goalless!

In the 35th minute of the game, Hyderabad FC pushed real hard for their 1st goal. A set piece corner landed right in front of a few Hyderabad FC players. A few touches and centre-back Odei Onaindia tried a bicycle kick shot into the goal from close-range but it went wide off the post.

Post the half-time, Mohammad Yasir of Hyderabad FC pulled the trigger with a lot of force from a distance and that almost went inside the goal. It touched the bar and Hyderabad FC failed to convert another opportunity into a goal.

In the 80th minute of the game, Liston Colaco took a wild shot from a distance and the lobbed shot went straight into the hands of Gurmeet Singh, the goalkeeper of Hyderabad FC.

An ambitious shot from Dimitri Petratos during stoppage time highlighted the entire narrative of the day! Taking shots but not yielding any result!

Both teams have an equal chance at Salt Lake Stadium on 13th March 2023. Hyderabad FC would be keen on defending their title and therefore would be hoping to beat the Mariners at their own home turf.
