Hyderabad FC win 1-0

The league stage games of the ongoing Indian Super League (ISL) 2022-23 is over and now we will be shifting our focus to the ISL 2022-23 playoffs. Hyderabad FC won the last league game of ISL 2022-23 with a 1-0 win over Kerala Blasters FC.

In the 10th minute of the game, Hyderabad FC had a solid chance to score a goal. Javier Siverio took a shot from close-range but it was blocked by Marco Lescovic. But it landed right in front of Joel Chianese who took an extra touch on the ball before firing it towards the goal. However, it touched the crossbar and the opportunity was squandered.

Hyderabad FC took the lead in the 29th minute thanks to Borja Herrera. Sahil Tavora’s brilliant midfield run that saw him cut into the middle from the right before feeding Halicharan Narzary on the left set up the move. The winger brought it back into the penalty area, where Herrera successfully placed a first-time shot inside the far post.

The half-time score read 1-0 in favour of the Nizams and Kerala Blasters FC had to stage a strong comeback in front of their home crowd.

In the 64th minute of the game, Adrian Luna took a set-piece free kick near the goal but it flew wide off the past.

In the final four minutes, two Hyderabad FC replacements worked well together but were unable to end the game.

Aaren D’Silva was unmarked as Abdul Anjukandan sent an attractive ball into the box and found him directly in front of the goal. The attacker’s header missed the mark, but Hyderabad FC managed to hold on to the victory and the three points, finishing the league campaign with 10 clean sheets.
