CS:GO Paris Major

Team Vitality have triumphed in the final match of the CS:GO BLAST.tv Paris Major by an easy defeat over GamerLegion.

A summer 2023 release date for Counter-Strike 2 meant that CS:GO had one more Major before the new game took over Valve’s professional circuit in 2024.

By a score of 2:0, Team Vitality beat GamerLegion in the CS:GO BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 Grand Final.

The three-stage format that Valve established in 2018 was used for the tournament, which ran from May 8 to May 21.

Over 50,000 spectators watched the Champions Stage during the playoffs in the Accor stadium, an indoor sports stadium and music venue in the Bercy district of Paris.

The Challengers Stage, which included 16 teams and a Swiss system, kicked off the Major. Before the elimination and advancement matches, the first rounds were played in a best-of-one format.

The top eight teams advanced to the Legends Stage where they joined the teams that had won the most Regional Major Qualifiers.

The Challengers Stage’s format was carried over to this stage.

Only eight teams advanced to the single-elimination Champions Stage, where every game was played in a best-of-three fashion.

GamerLegion finished second and earned $170,000, while the champion Vitality received $500,000 and qualified for IEM Cologne 2023 and BLAST Premier: World Final 2023.

The tournament’s MVP was Vitality’s Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut.
