PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2023 Teams, Groups, Format

PMGC 2023

On October 11, at the PMGC 2023 League Stage group draw, Tencent disclosed the format, schedule, and further information on the PUBG Mobile mega event. 

Fifty international teams will fight for an enormous $3 million prize pool when the competition kicks off on November 2. 

Since numerous regional competitions have concluded, the majority of the team spots have been filled.

In the one-month League Stage, 48 teams will battle for 14 spots in the Grand Finals, which will take place in Turkey from January 8, 2024 to January 10, 2024. 

Turkey’s S2G, the defending champions, have already received an invitation to the Grand Finals.

China’s TEC qualified for the finals after finishing first in the PEL 2023 standings.

Group Stage, Survival Stage, and Last Chance comprise the three stages of the PMGC 2023 League Stage.

Group Stage – November 2 to November 19

48 teams have been seeded into three groups—Green, Red, and Yellow—for this phase. Teams will fight for three spots in the Grand Finals over the course of 24 matches, one for each group. 

Teams from each group ranked fourth through eleventh will advance to the Last Chance round. Squads that are left will be eliminated from the PMGC.

Survival Stage – November 22 to November 24

There will be 24 teams divided into three groups for the League Stage’s second round. 

For 16 spots in the following round, these teams will compete in a round-robin fashion. The PMGC 2023 will see the bottom eight clubs eliminated.

Last Chance – November 25 and November 26

There will be an opportunity for the top 16 teams from the Survival Stage to guarantee their places in the Grand Finals.

The top five teams will advance to the PUBG Mobile competition final.
