Mohammed Siraj is reaping out success from every nook and corner. He managed his maiden five-wicket haul in the ongoing Test at The Gabba. The cricketing fraternity garnered Siraj with praise. Now, Virender Sehwag, the former Indian opener has joined the bandwagon.

The 26-year-old made his international Test debut on Boxing Day game that was played in Melbourne. He came out with flying colors as he grabbed 5 wickets on his debut. Followed maiden 5-wicket haul in the final and crucial game of Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21. So far he has managed 7 wickets in his two games and has sincerely flared as a pacer in the absence of other frontline bowlers. His performance has brought Team India back in the game, who require only 324 runs to take win their 2nd consecutive Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21.

Virender Sehwag Really Impressed With Mohammed Siraj

Virender Sehwag is quite impressed with Mohammed Siraj’s performance. He took to his official Twitter handle and shared his opinion over the same. The former player feels that the Australia tour has turned Siraj from being a boy to a mature man. He added that the way Indian bowlers comprising of Shardul Thakur, Washington Sundar, Ravi Ashwin, and T Natarajan has performed is simply exceptional.

“The boy has become a man on this tour. Siraj, Leader of the attack in his first Test series and he has led from. the front. The way newcomers have performed for India on this tour will be etched in memories for a long long time. Will be fitting if they retain the trophy.

Coming onto the match, Australia was castled at a score of 369 runs in the 1st innings followed by 294 in the next inning. India got dismissed at a score of 336 runs in their first innings. But, they are very well still in the game and can chase down the target looking forward to the batsmen in the side.
