On the other hand, Australia had a golden chance of winning the game. In the end, Ravichandran Ashwin and Hanuma Vihari’s determination saved the game for the visitors. Meanwhile, the Aussie skipper Tim Paine hogged the spotlight for sledging Indian spinner R Ashwin and the clip of the same got viral on social media.

Day-5 at Sydney cricket ground got off the mark badly for the Indian cricket team. They lost their stand-in skipper Ajinkya Rahane. Afterward, Rishabh Pant (97) and Cheteshwar Pujara (77) scored fine fifties with the willow. It was no less than a match-saving knock from both the Indian batsman. As soon as they departed India had almost lost their hope with no proper in-form batsmen left in the dugout.

Tim Paine Sledges Indian Spinner Ravichandran Ashwin

However, Hanuma Vihari and Ravichandran Ashwin played like a wall against fierce Aussie bowlers. They played 289 balls and scored only 62 runs together. It led to frustration for the host bowlers, who struggled in taking their 3rd wicket for the day.

This all led Tim Paine to adopt a cheap approach in the game. He sledged Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in the worse possible way. The Aussie skipper said he is very excited to face him in Brisbane,”Can’t wait to get you to the Gabba, Ash,”.

The murmuring from behind the stumps kept coming. And, R Ashwin then responded by saying that he wants Tim Paine to come to India and it is going to be his last series,” r. “Can’t wait to get you to India, it’ll be your last series,” Ashwin replied.

Paine got angry after coming across Ashwin’s reply. He then said that at least my team likes me. He also quizzed Ashwin on how many teams did he ask before getting picked in the IPL auction, “At least my teammates like me, di**head. How many IPL teams wanted you when you asked every single one of them?” Paine said.
