India got off the mark in an amazing style against Australia during their run-chase of 375 runs. And, Aussie bowlers also got off to a bad start to their game. Meanwhile, Adam Zampa dropped a golden catch of Virat Kohli at the deep fine-leg. But, Josh Hazelwood dismissed the Indian skipper on the back of a brilliant delivery.

Australia posted a mammoth total of 374 runs in stipulated 50 overs. Courtesy to Steve Smith and Aaron Finch scintillating tons that helped their side in putting such a big total on th scoreboard. Mohammed Shami emerged as the most successful bowler, who took 2 wickets in 10 over spell. Jasprit Bumrah, Navdeep Saini, and Yuzvendra Chahal also took one wicket. It looked like the Team India batting unit might fail in giving a tough fight against the star-studded bowling unit of Australia. But that has not been the case.

Virat Kohli Departs After Scoring Just 21 Runs In 1st ODI

Shikhar Dhawan and Mayank Agarwal got their team to a flyer. They stitched a glittery partnership of 53 runs in 5 overs. Both the openers got settled and they were easily smashing Aussie pacer Mitchell Starc as well as Josh Hazelwood.

Mayank Agarwal, who was playing as a replacement of Rohit Sharma, played a silly stroke off Hazelwood and ended up giving a regular catch to Glenn Maxwell. The Karnataka batsman could only score 22 runs off 17 balls before getting dismissed. And, all eyes were set upon Indian skipper Virat Kohli as he came out to bat at number three.

Australian bowlers knew it is important to dismiss Kohli. Otherwise, they might end up losing the game. So, Pat Cummins was introduced in the bowling attack by Aussie skipper Aaron Finch. And, the strategy almost worked for the hosts as he created a golden opportunity in his second over of the game. The right-hand pacer bowled a quick bouncer and the Indian skipper tried to deliver that ball for six. But the Indian skipper failed to give it an elevation. Adam Zampa, who was standing at deep fine leg dropped a sitter.

Soon after that Kohli went for back to back boundaries against Pat Cummins. But, the former failed to convert his good start against the host. Josh Hazelwood bowled a short and quick delivery and Kohli ended up giving an easy catch to Aaron Finch.
