He is presently sitting in the 3rd position in the list of most runs in the cash-rich league and is behind only Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan.

He will be leading the Delhi Capitals (DC) side in IPL 2023 in the absence of Rishabh Pant and will have his task cut-out.

While playing against Bangladesh in the recently-concluded 3-match T20I series, the English captain finished as the highest run getter for England and 2nd highest run getter in the series, with 111 runs in 3 games.
