KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer single-handedly took his side on the course of a victory against Rajasthan Royals on Monday evening. But, his brilliant effort went into vain as he didn’t got much support from the other batting end. Meanwhile, he also looked upset with the decisions of the KKR think-tank, who sent Shivam Mavi to bat ahead of Sheldon Jackson at the crucial stage of the game.
KKR was set up for a chase of a mammoth score of 218 runs in stipulated 20 overs. Knight Riders got to a worse start as Sunil Narine got run out in the first over. Shreyas Iyer came out to bat at number three and stitched a decent partnership with Aaron Finch of 107 runs. The duo brought KKR back into the game. But after Finch and Iyer’s departure, nothing went in favor of KKR and they lost the game by 7 runs.
