Team India’s pain of losing the WTC Final is visible through their aggression: Inzamam-ul-Haq

Date:

Former Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq said that the pain of defeat in the World Test Championship can be easily seen in the aggression of Team India. Virat Kohli & Co. dismissed hosts England on Day-1 of 1st Test at a lowly score of 183 runs.

India played maiden WTC final against New Zealand and they lost it by a big margin of 7 wickets. It was a defeat that Team India will not forget at least for a long time. Learning from the previous mistakes, Indians have come hovering over the hosts from the word go in 1st Test. They are currently leading in the race to win the 1st Test in five-match series.

And, Indian bowlers were impressed with their bowling on Day-1. They received applauds from every nook and corner. Now, a former Pakistan skipper has also joined the bandwagon and said that he can easily sense the pain of losing the WTC final in the aggression of the team. As per him, the way they performed on Day-1 showed that it is going to be a tough road ahead for England.

“Day 2 is very important for India. If they score 300-350, the fate of the test match will be sealed in favor of India. The players will have to take responsibility, and they have big players. I could see their pain of losing the WTC Final through their aggression. They could not perform in that match and the aggression missing in that match, was visible here,” Inzamam said on his YouTube channel.

The former player mentioned that the body language of Team India is changed since Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21. He added that Team India has cleared its intention of going with an attacking approach from the very 1st game.

“The body language of India has changed ever since the tour of Australia. They play cricket with aggression, this has happened in the last 1-2 years. The way they announced their team by plating four fast bowlers and an all-rounder was a positive sign. India has made it clear to the England dressing room that they will be playing attacking cricket,” Inzamam added.
