Stephen Fleming reveals why a knock against PBKS could have given the damage to Ambati Rayudu

Ambati Rayudu came out to bat at number 5 and changed the game in favor of his side. But, Kagiso Rabada clean bowled him in the 18th over of the innings.

Post-match, the CSK coach said that Ambati Rayudu hurt his hands while fielding in the 1st innings. His hand got bruised and was paining a lot. As per him, his first check was around the break. He added that the hand was the same one that sustained an injury a few times back.

Stephen Fleming praised Ambati Rayudu for playing such an influential knock in the middle-order for CSK. But, he feels that the player could have hurt himself a lot during his knock.

“The first check was around the break and his hand was bruising. It was just a case of icing that and getting that down and I think a little padding around the glove. It was the same hand that was broken sometime back, so it’s still pretty tender and a knock like that can obviously cause some damage,” revealed Fleming.

Coming onto the match, Shikhar Dhawan played a knock of 88 runs followed by a quickfire cameo from Liam Livingstone in the death overs. The Indian southpaw was awarded Man of the Match for his inning against CSK.

Currently, CSK is at the 9th position and PBKS have moved to the 6th position after an impressive victory over the defending champions.
