AB de Villiers is set to Return in IPL 2023, Will Join his so-called “second home” RCB

AB de Villiers bid adieu to all forms of cricket last year after IPL 2021 season. This is why he is not part of Royal Challengers Bangalore in the ongoing 15th edition. However, during an interview, Virat Kohli revealed that his close friend and former Proteas cricketer will be part of Royal Challengers Bangalore. But, he didn’t reveal in what capacity de Villiers will join the Bangalore-based franchise.

AB de Villiers is reckoned as one of the most loveable cricketers’ across the globe. He has a big fanbase in India and across the globe. He is well known for playing his unorthodox cricket strokes in every region of the park. Also, he is called by the name of Mr. 360 Degree.

The former Proteas cricketer shares a strong bond with none other than former Indian skipper and RCB teammate Virat Kohli. In a recent interview, AB de Villiers said that Kohli has already revealed that he will be part of RCB in the 2023 season. As per him, it is still not decided in what capacity he will be part of the team. He added that there will be few games that RCB will play in Bangalore and will like to once again play in front of his 2nd home ground.

“I am glad that Virat’s confirmed it. To be honest, we haven’t decided anything on it yet but I will be around the IPL next year, I am missing it, don’t know in which capacity yet. I have heard that there might be some games in Bangalore next year and I would like to visit my second home and watch the full capacity Chinnaswamy stadium – I am looking forward to it,” de Villiers added.

Recently, Virat Kohli gave an update that he keeps in touch with none other than former Proteas cricketer AB de Villiers and he very closely following Royal Challengers Bangalore games in the ongoing Indian Premier League season.

“I miss him a lot. I speak to him regularly, quite regularly. He keeps messaging me. He was in the US recently watching golf. Augusta Masters is what I heard it was called. So he told me he was there experiencing it with his friends and family. So we stay in touch and he’s very keenly watching RCB and hopefully will be here next year in some capacity,” Kohli had told Danish Sait earlier.
