Renowned Sand Artist Sudarshan Pattnaik Pays Stunning Tribute To Sachin Tendulkar On His 50th Birthday

    As the former legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar turns 50 today, several wishes from all across the world started pouring in. Fans took to social media to wish the legend and there were several unique and creative wishes.

    But probably one wish that really stood out was famous sand artist Sudarshan Pattnaik’s unique sand sculpture of the “Little Master”. Pattnaik drew a beautiful sand sculpture of Sachin Tendulkar in Puri and took to the micro-blogging site Twitter to share it with the entire world.

    There is a huge bat that is lying horizontally and has the text “Happy Birthday to Sachin Tendulkar Ji” written on it. The number 50 is drawn in a creative way and the whole piece of art is around 7 feet high.

    Students from his sand art school had joined hands to help him finish this drawing in Puri, which is about 69km from the capital city of Odisha, Bhubaneshwar.

    A total of 8 tons of sand were used for this stunning masterpiece in the coastal town of Puri. Puri is also the abode of Lord Jogonnath and devotees from all across the world come in to this majestic town to seek the blessings of Lord Jogonnath and to soak in the beauty of the pristine waters and beaches of Puri.

    Sudarshan Pattnaik is a Padma Shri awardee

    46-year-old sand sculptor Sudarshan Pattnaik is one of the most famous sand artists in the world. He has previously drawn sculptures of various famous artists, personalities and also depicts events through his sand works.

    His works are always extremely visually-appealing and he has therefore grown into becoming a very popular person in the field of art.

    Sudarshan Pattnaik also became the first Indian in 2019 to win the Italian Sand Art Award. The award ceremony was held at the International Scorrano Sand Nativity event in Italy.

    Previously, the Odia person has drawn pieces for Rishabh Pant, when he had the accident, Andrew Symonds, when he passed away, during the grueling Covid-19 pandemic and also during events such as Parakram Divas and Independence Day.
