IPL 2023 Pujara And Vihari

The anticipation for the IPL 2023 auction is growing now that the teams have revealed their list of released and retained players. When the players are put up for IPL auction, all of the teams will be attempting to fill the empty bases.

On December 23, the IPL 2023 auction is scheduled to take place in Kochi. 991 players have registered to have their names put up for auction. The total of 991 players comprises 277 foreign players and 714 Indians, however, only 87 of them can be cricket players.

Indian batters Cheteshwar Pujara and Hanuma Vihari have made the decision to skip the IPL 2023 Auction because they have been unable to play in the league for a number of years. Since both are regarded as Test specialists, it was expected that few people would have taken an interest in them.

Both Pujara and Vihari have participated in league play, with the Pujara also winning the title in 2021 with CSK. Vihari, on the other hand, played for the Delhi Capitals. Both are now expected to concentrate on their Test match.

Cheteshwar Pujara

CSK purchased Cheteshwar Pujara for his base price of 50 lakhs during the 2021 Auction. He was not given the opportunity to play, though. Pujara has previously played for KKR, RCB, and PBKS in the IPL. In the year 2014, eight years ago, he played his final IPL match.

When it comes to Pujara’s IPL statistics, he has played 30 matches and scored 390 runs, including a half-century. Pujara’s mega-auction from earlier this year failed to draw any bidders.

Hanuma Vihari

Hanuma Vihari has played for both Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has 284 runs in 24 IPL games that he has played. In the year 2019, Vihari participated in his final IPL game. In the 2022 auction, no team had made a bid for him.

IPL 2023: Big names in the auction

A few notable players have registered their names for the auction, including Ben Stokes, Sam Curran, Joe Root, Cameron Green, Nicholas Pooran, and others.

Mayank Agarwal, Manish Pandey, Kedhar Jadhav, Ajinkya Rahane, and Ishant Sharma are the only well-known Indian players in the auction, and it is likely that they will draw the most interest from buyers.
